Dr. Carley Decker

Ph.D. Clinical Psychologist

At some point in life, most people experience feeling stuck and struggle navigating through life’s challenges. Although these times can feel overwhelming, I believe they are opportunities to examine one’s life and make meaningful changes. Often it is during our most challenging times that profound gifts can be uncovered.

I approach all of my clients with immediate concern for relieving their current distressing symptoms and resolving their present life problems. I value the importance of understanding the ways in which aspects of one’s developmental experiences and history - and the personal adaptations used to cope with difficult life events - may be influencing one’s current problems, relationships, sense of self and overall emotional well-being. I work to help my clients integrate their past experiences with their current circumstances and also facilitate adaptive coping with practical strategies when helpful.

Psychodynamic therapy with a therapist who is a good fit can offer a person the opportunity to understand oneself and make changes at a deeper, more meaningful level. I feel honored to accompany my clients in this transformative process out of pain, dissatisfaction and repeating unhealthy relational patterns and towards healing, personal freedom and fulfilling relationships.

"Right to Receive a Good  Faith Estimate of Expected Charges"

Under the No Surprises Act 2022

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. This applies to "cash pay" as this provider does not accept insurance.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit  www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
